We are a group of young Italian -Venezuelans who want to express to bring in the light of recent events that occurred in Venezuela. The Venezuelan government has, in fact, just refused to renew the license to one of the oldest canals in the history of the Venezuelan media: Radio Caracas Television (RCTV).
our protest and to freedom of expression, human rights and in support of the Venezuelan students who continue to protest peacefully for freedom of expression.
the channel that was not renewed the license May 27, 2007, after the present government had not announced the renewal of the same in December 2006. What's more, the equipment and means of transmission of the channel have been confiscated to allow the delivery of a new state channel (TVES).
The event will take place in Rome (Sunday, 17, Piazza del Colosseo, from 15:30 to 18:00) and Milan (Sunday, 17 in Piazza Duca d'Aosta, in front of Central Station, from 15: 30 to 18:00). Also participating students young Venezuelans and Italians, but we hope that all those involved who believe that freedom of expression and human rights are essential values \u200b\u200bof all citizens, regardless of political persuasion.
