the usual. Suggested to the usual choices from a policy perspective short-sighted and arrogant, from a policy perspective that, regardless of the problems of land, threatens to squander public money to create works that do not have any sense of priorities from a policy perspective that seeks to safeguard and secure the benefits of a few to the detriment of the legitimate interests and communities.
the choices that the Province of Matera will take, will depend on the prospects for economic and social development of the community Rotondellesi and its territory, without the above-mentioned community has no discretion in the matter.
This is a funding of approximately € uro 6,000,000.00 (the actual amount is the grotesque: the appropriation initially amounted to approximately € uro 7,200,000.00; be reduced by approximately 1,200,000.00 for a mere "mistake"!) To be allocated to interventions on the rural roads of the City of Rotondella.
The economy and future prospects of the area are facing the SS 106 Jonica. This would facilitate links between Rotondella Rotondella and Two, and the area between Rotondella Trisaia; between Rotondella and ENEA; between Rotondella and landlocked; between Rotondella and neighboring municipalities, among the most imported and Rotondella thoroughfare for tourists. This is a unique opportunity, perhaps last, for a community and a region that is increasingly on the margins of the entire area around Matera.
It is quite obvious, just common sense and honesty (not just intellectual), the priority action for the community and the land is that of a remaking of the road Rotondella - SS 106, which was today, it is absolutely indecent and dangerous than . This section is one of the SP 104, characterized by tight curves and counter, where there are accidents on time (a few years ago was made a committee of citizens calling for action to ensure road safety, he got a result: the reconstruction of some sections of asphalt ; accidents, however, not decreased), which affect, significantly, the opportunities for economic and social development of the territory. Every effort
development is intended, therefore, to the plain of Trisaia, toward the plain towards the coast and around Matera ion. Decades of political local, provincial and regional levels have financed and finance development interventions along these lines, the lines of communication, however, no! Are not, for mysterious forces of fate, this priority. The Province of Matera
seems willing, in fact, to use the full funding of € uro 6,000,000.00 for the construction of a bridge, a few hundred meters, the river Sinni (so-called "cross Sinni" is now to crossing limited) to ensure convenient access to goods vehicles on the SS 653 "Sinnica. This
opera (which would absorb the entire cost of financing), while desirable, is not an absolute priority, for reasons which are listed below:
1) vehicles using this access route to reach the SS 653 are numerically insignificant
2) the need to make this viable street by heavy vehicles is not a priority, because Rotondella longer has access to the SS 653 (and the one in question is among the least traveled);
3) to allocate the full amount of funding the rebuilding of the bridge contrasts with the political choices, economic and social problems for decades the regional government, provincial and municipal levels have pursued and attained;
4) the possibility of the hill town to stop depopulation, degradation and abandonment would be seriously compromised;
5) in all likelihood, the six million euro in question would allow the consolidation of the cross (bridge) and the existing Sinni the stretch of road improvements SP 104 which provides the link Rotondella SS-106;
6) finally, and most importantly, the original plan, with its subsequent variations, provided the intereventi articulated in stages in line with those reported in paragraph (5).
Faced with such evidence there arises the question of why, in the Province Matera, floated the idea is to redo only the "Bridge over Sinni" and the question of why there has been for a long time, a deafening silence from the institutions concerned. This, however, is beside the point and will be detailed later.
What we care about is the involvement of authorities and institutions to which this is addressed, to ensure that, within their respective powers and jurisdiction conferred by law, be adopted and taken the appropriate steps in order to offer Rotondella the territory of an opportunity, an opportunity for development that passes, necessarily, from infrastructure projects (such as roads) that are consistent with the choices of economic development and social before taxes and now shared by the community.
It is hoped that the Province of Matera, that on these issues has always shown sensitivity, should take the right choice for the territory of Rotondella, a choice that not only goes for the "Bridge over Sinni, not only by carrying out the planned conference service, but interesting, informing and listening to the people (dÎmoÏ‚) living in the territory, on whose back are bound to influence those choices.
